Between Hops features an American Robin inspired by a photograph I took on a beautiful, sunny winter day at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. I love watching robins move in little bursts—a few hops, then a pause, striking an alert pose and keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings. Robins are so familiar that it’s easy to overlook just how stunning they are.
Created from my original wildlife photography and combined with a softly textured, abstract background, this artwork celebrates the quiet beauty of an everyday bird and the small moments that make it extraordinary.
