Small but Fierce is an original Northern Saw-whet Owl greeting card based on a photograph I took at a PERCH Wildlife Education event at the Environmental Learning Center in Oregon City. This tiny owl, Widget, was a wonderful reminder that even the cutest wild creatures need their space.
I paired my original photography with a handmade gel plate monoprint, allowing its rich plum color and layered texture to become part of the portrait.
5 x 7-inch folded greeting card. Blank inside. Printed on substantial 230 gsm, bright white matte card stock in my Oregon City, Oregon home studio using professional-quality inks. Each card is paired with a bright white envelope and packaged together in a clear protective sleeve.
