Midnight Perch is an original Barn Owl greeting card based on a photograph I took of Twig, a Barn Owl, at a PERCH Wildlife Educational event at the Environmental Learning Center in Oregon City. His handsome features and intense gaze were captivating and inspired this more imaginative portrait.
I used my original photograph as the starting point, building the image through digital illustration and a limited palette to capture the mysterious quality I saw in him.
5 x 7-inch folded greeting card. Blank inside. Printed on substantial 230 gsm, bright white matte card stock in my Oregon City, Oregon home studio using professional-quality inks. Each card is paired with a bright white envelope and packaged together in a clear protective sleeve.
