Between Hops is an original American Robin greeting card based on a photograph I took on a beautiful, sunny winter day at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. I love watching robins move in little bursts—a few hops, then a pause, striking an alert pose and keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings. Robins are so familiar that it's easy to overlook just how stunning they are.
I combined my original photography with a softly textured, abstract background to create a distinctive wildlife portrait.
